Flying soon? Lucky you! If you're following the NewFysic program, staying healthy, hydrated, and feeling your best during your trip can be challenging. But with the right approach, you'll arrive at your destination feeling great.

Here are our best tips.

Drink, drink, drink.

You've probably heard that it's important to drink plenty of fluids during a flight. But why exactly? Your skin, body, and metabolism all benefit from good hydration. And flying demands a lot of fluids from you: airports often have (extremely) dry air, and you can't just open a window on a plane, meaning most of the air is 'reused'. Furthermore, the air in a plane contains less oxygen due to the lower pressure, causing you to breathe faster and your heart rate to increase.

Pre-jetlag fix

Flying long-haul and expecting jet lag? Drinking plenty of water during the flight should lessen the effects once you arrive. Bring an empty water bottle to fill at the airport and drink plenty before boarding. You generally don't get an excessive amount of drinks offered on the plane, but that doesn't mean you can't ask the flight attendants for more. Some planes even have water fountains where you can fill your own bottle.

Bring your toiletries bag.

Have you ever touched your face during a (long) flight? It's bone-dry. To keep your face hydrated during the journey, you can take a small jar of your favorite day cream and apply it occasionally, or use moisturizing wipes.

Provide healthy snacks.

It's getting better, but airports generally aren't the best places to eat healthy. So bring your own healthy snacks. Prepare some cut-up vegetables before you leave and pack some crackers in your bag. That way you can easily resist all that sugary junk.

Airport yoga

It's incredibly important to keep moving during your trip. At the airport, find a quiet spot and do some yoga stretches. But it's also helpful to keep moving on the plane by regularly walking down the aisle and stretching in your seat.

Don't forget your supplements.

Even on vacation, you should continue taking your supplements if you're following the NewFysic method. So don't forget to pack them in your suitcase, and definitely not just in your carry-on luggage; you'll especially need them on a long flight. Or if there's really nothing healthy to get and you forgot your own snacks – then just take a No Regret.
