Research among rats shows that women are about six times more likely to over-eat compared to men. In addition to this result, the researchers also found the reason for these sweet eating binges. The natural reward system in women's brains is a lot more sensitive than that of men. Because of this sensitivity, they react more violently to sugar and thus also tend to want more and more of it.
