If you follow NewFyic, you know that losing weight doesn't have to be torture. Your personal nutrition plan will help you get through the days and toward your target weight without feeling hungry. But there are a few more things you can do to speed up the weight loss process.
These tips are very easy to incorporate into your daily routine.
1 Snack smart
Between your main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), make sure you don't get hungry. You do this by snacking. And we are not talking about unhealthy snacks but tasty, healthy and nutritious snacks. Think of cherry tomatoes, pieces of cucumber or peppers. This satisfies the appetite and provides you with (part of) your daily dose of vitamins.
2 Turn off the TV
Research shows that eating in front of the TV can increase your calorie intake by 40%. The same goes for eating while you're apping, driving, or whatever distraction that causes you to eat more than you need. So make sure you eat every meal at the table, off a plate and with your full attention.
3 Get on the scale a little more often
No,
don't overdo it. Weighing yourself three times a day is really no fun and, moreover, nonsensical. Don't drive yourself crazy, but weigh yourself regularly. It keeps you on your toes and shows you immediately when things are going in the "wrong" direction.
4 Do your exercises
Make sure you set aside time three times a week to do some exercises. And it only has to be 5 minutes: do some push-ups, lunges, squats and sit-ups. The more muscles you have, the higher your metabolism will be!
5 Grab your cell phone
Are you suffering from a really bad
craving for extra sweet, fatty or other high-calorie foods? Then grab your cell phone and call a friend. It will distract your mind and if you stay on the phone for 5 minutes, your
cravings will go away. And you've had a nice chat.
6 Eat a balanced breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day," have you ever heard that one? Well, it really is. By eating breakfast with healthy products, you keep your blood sugar levels in balance, which reduces cravings during the rest of the day.
7 Pay attention to alcohol
A harmless-looking margarita or cosmopolitan ka really contain hundreds of calories that do nothing to make you feel full. Limit alcoholic refreshments for the weekend and then stick to one wine (+ two glasses of water).
8 Eat fruit
Fruit contains a lot of water and fills your stomach without containing a lot of calories. Moreover, fruit can act very well as a substitute for the sweet snacks you may have been eating before your personal nutrition plan.
9 Sleep more
Go to bed half an hour earlier than you are used to and get up half an hour later (if you can afford that luxury). Research shows that you make healthier choices during the day when it comes to food. Plus, it's also just easier to eat consciously and responsibly when you're rested.
10 Visualize yourself at your target weight
If you are having a bad day and find it very difficult to eat according to your personal nutrition plan, imagine yourself having already reached your target weight. This visualization will help you stay motivated and remind you of the bigger goal.
