"My self-confidence was way below zero when I went to NewFysic in Amersfoort with lead in my shoes.""I was afraid I would be judged, but my coach Isabella actually kept looking for positives and opportunities! Soon I started having fun with her supportive words. At times she really pulled me through by putting things into perspective and motivating me to persevere. Isabella is my backbone when I lose it. I always leave with a good feeling after all the compliments and tips she gives me. On to the next week with good spirits! Over the years I have followed many diets and many more times I quit before I even started. Ten years ago I lost sixteen kilos, but these kilos were back in no time because I had not changed my lifestyle. With the help of NewFysic I lost an enormous amount of weight in one year, despite some struggles due to the Corona crisis (stress, insecurity, more at home and the need for emotional calories). Regularly I went (and still go) for the axe. The trick then is not to judge and/or punish myself, but to go right back to conscious and healthy choices. We also provided some stable periods so I could get used to my new body. Whether Newfysic is now my new lifestyle, I dare not say. I experienced the nutrition plan as very positive and gained tremendous pleasure in healthy cooking, but temptations are always lurking. By making the right choices at those times, I hope things will stay that way. Sometimes I deliberately plan a temptation, such as dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant: my guilty pleasure! I definitely recommend Newfysic. I share a lot with my friends and have even given the cookbook as a gift to some people. They now enthusiastically send me pictures of their delicious dishes! I am also active on social media and get a lot of questions about it. I don't have a favorite dish. I usually give it my own twist or whip something up. The recipes on the website are often tasty and easy: the wrap pizzas or the chicken dishes, for example. I often make a combination of grilled vegetables with couscous, chicken breast and a homemade tomato sauce with herbs. Try to vary a lot with vegetables, carbohydrates, meat/fish and spices. You can combine endlessly with all these ingredients! People who are at the beginning of their weight loss journey, I like to pass along that good preparation is half the battle. Once a week I plan everything I'm going to eat for the coming week and then I do/order all the shopping. This way I no longer have to choose when I'm in a hurry or hungry (with all the risks that entails ?)."
